Thursday, May 14, 2009A heroic surfer has saved a drowning kangaroo by dragging it onto his board and riding to safety.
Australian Neil McCallum couldn't believe his eyes when the kangaroo bounded across his path on the Kirra Beach and dived into the surf.
Worried that the poor critter would get devoured by hammerhead sharks Mr McCallum leapt into action when it started to struggle in strong tides.
