DNA from Pitbull dog used for first time to trap killer

New DNA technology has been used for the first time to help convict a South London murderer who used his 'status' dog as a 'murder weapon' to hunt down a 16-year-old boy before he stabbed him to death. Chrisdian Johnson, 22, stabbed Christopher 'Seyi' Ogunyemi - who suffered from Crohn's disease - six times after his 30kg Pitbull-mastiff cross hauled him down from a fence as he tried to escape from a gang. Johnson was arrested as he fled the scene covered in blood. Detectives proved the dog had been used in the murder after his blood was found to match that on Johnson.
