A Chinese zoo is offering visitors the opportunity to pet a tiger.
Wenzhou Zoo in the Zhejiang province has come under heavy criticism for charging tourists $4 to pose for photographs in 20 minute individual sessions with the big cat.
Three men are needed to keep an eye on the tiger while a fourth takes a picture.
Tourist Lao Shibo claimed the practice was "incredibly dangerous" and amounted to "animal abuse".
The zoo insisted it was completely safe as the tiger was tame and its teeth and claws had been filed down.
In the wild tigers do, on occasions, hunt people when their usual prey is unavailable.
