A boa constrictor caused panic among shoppers when it escaped from its owner and slithered along a high street in Poland. The 1.2m (4ft) snake was eventually captured by police in the south-western Polish city of Wroclaw
The authorities fined the boa constrictor's owner, identified as Piotr Dudek, £50 for failing to properly secure his snake tank.
